What should I do if I am involved in an accident? If there is damage to the vehicle, stop and exchange information. If someone is hurt, render aid and notify law enforcement. If you hit an unattended vehicle, find the driver or write your name and address on a note explaining what happened. You must also include the owner's name and address if the vehicle you are driving doesn't belong to you.
Did you know? If you close your eyes for just one second at 60 mph, you will travel 88 feet.
What software do I need to take the course? You need a working web browser that is connected to the Internet to take a defensive driving course. We support Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher, Netscape Navigator 6.0, AOL 4.0 and higher and most other browsers. There is no software to download and nothing saved to your hard drive. Why should I take a defensive driving course in Texas? Will it remove my speeding ticket? The answer to the first question is: (1) it may keep your auto insurance rates from rising (if you qualify) and (2) you have the opportunity to learn about safe driving.
I know that all children under age 12 should ride in the back seat, especially if the car is equipped with airbags. What about the elderly; are they safe with airbags? The elderly, like all other passengers and drivers, should be properly restrained with the seat as far back as possible and the individual's back firmly supported. All occupants should also keep arms and feet away from where the airbags will deploy.
Do I need to attend a classroom? No. The course is entirely online. It is web learning on your schedule at your pace.
I need another copy of my certificate. How can I get one? Our course provider says, If you have lost your certificate or it contains incorrect information, you may contact a customer support representative at 1-800-723-1955 to request a certificate reprint.
