Traffic School Tips for FRANKLIN County Court, Virginia |
I know that all children under age 12 should ride in the back seat, especially if the car is equipped with airbags. What about the elderly; are they safe with airbags? The elderly, like all other passengers and drivers, should be properly restrained with the seat as far back as possible and the individual's back firmly supported. All occupants should also keep arms and feet away from where the airbags will deploy.
Why is it so important not to have rear-facing child safety seats in the front seat? The force of nearly 3,000 pounds of pressure from a crash would thrust the child forward, crushing it between the safety seat and the back of the car seat. Never place a rear-facing child safety seat in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with a passenger-front airbag.
I am a new driver. Do you offer first-time driver or teen driver education? Yes! In many states there is a teen/first-tie driver training course available. Check our site to see.
Did you know? If you close your eyes for just one second at 60 mph, you will travel 88 feet.
How long is the Defensive Driving course? Most people can finish in about 4-6 hours. Some people take longer, but that is a rough guide for most students.
I do not see my county listed on your site, can I still take your traffic school? No. Either the county court does not accept web-based traffic schools, or we are not yet approved in that county. Please see your court paperwork for your traffic school options and approved schools.
Can I get an insurance discount if I am a senior driver? Our course provider says, Yes! It varies by state who is allowed to take a course for an insurance discount. (In some state only mature drivers age 55 and over are eligible to receive an insurance discount by completing a course.) We definitely offer the insurance discount option in all the states in which we are approved.
Are teens at greater risk of death in an alcohol-related crash? Teens are at far greater risk of death in an alcohol-related crash than the overall population, despite the fact they cannot legally purchase or publicly possess alcohol in any State.
