Traffic School Tip for CLARK, ID
Concentrate on your driving, not on your cell phone, stereo, passengers or other distractions.

Traffic School Tip for CLARK, ID
Young, inexperienced drivers, particularly 16- to 17-year-olds, are significantly overrepresented in fatal crashes. Our research tells us that immaturity and inexperience are primary factors contributing to these deadly crashes by young drivers. Three-stage GDL laws address these factors by reducing high-risk exposure for novice drivers.

Traffic School Tip for CLARK, ID
When travelling at speeds up to 70 mph, you need to be able to judge distances and speeds carefully. If, for example, you are travelling at 55 mph, to pass safely you require a 10 to 12 second gap in oncoming traffic. Your vehicle will cover 800 feet in those 10 to 12 seconds. A vehicle approaching you from the opposite direction also going 55 mph will also cover 800 in those 10 to 12 seconds. That's 1,600 feet, or one-third of a mile to pass safely.

Traffic School Tip for CLARK, ID
Motorcyclist fatalities have increased each year since reaching an historic low of 2,116 fatalities in 1997. In 2001, 3,181 motorcyclists were killed, an increase of over 50 percent between 1997 and 2001. Without this substantial increase in motorcyclist fatalities between 1997 and 2001, overall highway fatalities would have experienced a marked reduction of about 2.5 percent over this same time period

Traffic School Tip for CLARK, ID
Always use your safety belt. These are the facts: air bags are made to work with safety belts, and most crashes happen close to home. So buckle up for every trip.

Maintain a consistent speed when passing a large truck. When you can see the entire front of the truck or bus in your rearview mirror, make a shoulder check, signal and return to the right lane.
