Teens are at far greater risk of death in an alcohol-related crash than the overall population, despite the fact they cannot legally purchase or publicly possess alcohol in any State.
How long does the course take?
The time it takes varies from person to person. A determined student who studies the material and takes notes can finish fairly quickly. But many students choose to spread the course out over a week or more. Rest assured you can follow whatever method works for your schedule. But give yourself plenty of time to pass the final exam prior to your court deadline!
Do I need to wear a seatbelt in Texas?

I am able to adjust the position of my steering wheel. Which position is most likely to minimize injury but provide the greatest protection from an airbag?
Tilt the steering wheel toward your breastbone. Do not tilt it toward your abdomen or toward your head and neck. Try to adjust your seat at least 10 inches away from the center of the steering wheel.
I am a new driver. Do you offer first-time driver or teen driver education?
Yes! In many states there is a teen/first-tie driver training course available. Check our site to see.
Can I get an insurance discount if I am a senior driver?
Our course provider says, Yes! It varies by state who is allowed to take a course for an insurance discount. (In some state only mature drivers age 55 and over are eligible to receive an insurance discount by completing a course.) We definitely offer the insurance discount option in all the states in which we are approved.
What should I do if I am involved in an accident?
If there is damage to the vehicle, stop and exchange information. If someone is hurt, render aid and notify law enforcement. If you hit an unattended vehicle, find the driver or write your name and address on a note explaining what happened. You must also include the owner's name and address if the vehicle you are driving doesn't belong to you.

When travelling at speeds up to 70 mph, you need to be able to judge distances and speeds carefully. If, for example, you are travelling at 55 mph, to pass safely you require a 10 to 12 second gap in oncoming traffic. Your vehicle will cover 800 feet in those 10 to 12 seconds. A vehicle approaching you from the opposite direction also going 55 mph will also cover 800 in those 10 to 12 seconds. That's 1,600 feet, or one-third of a mile to pass safely.

Alcohol use by people under the age of 21 is prohibited in Virginia. Virginia has a zero tolerance law regarding teens and alcohol use. Some of the penalties include losing your license, large fines and maybe jail time. The legal limit for teens is a .02 blood alcohol concentration (BAC), which is the normal alcohol content of the average person. So, even a small amount of alcohol can be too much.
