Tip for PARADISE VALLEY, Nevada For an adult, the shoulder harness should fit closely against the chest, never under the arm. The lap belt should fit low and snug across the hips, never across the abdomen.
Tip for PARADISE VALLEY, Nevada If there is damage to the vehicle, stop and exchange information. If someone is hurt, render aid and notify law enforcement. If you hit an unattended vehicle, find the driver or write your name and address on a note explaining what happened. You must also include the owner's name and address if the vehicle you are driving doesn't belong to you.
Tip for PARADISE VALLEY, Nevada Larger vehicles create more air turbulence at highway speeds. When approaching, keep a steady grip on your steering wheel.
Tip for PARADISE VALLEY, Nevada Texas driving tip: Don't squeeze between trucks and the curb. Trucks make wide right turns, and the driver may not see you.
Tip for PARADISE VALLEY, Nevada While installing and using child safety seats may appear to be easy enough, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has estimated that close to 3 out of 4 parents do not properly use child restraints ... and if you are one of them, that child safety seat may not protect your child the way it should.
Tip for PARADISE VALLEY, Nevada It's not just good parenting, it's a matter of life and death. You need to talk to your kids about traffic safety early and often - before they reach driving age. When your teenager begins driving, we recommend that you set rules and then clearly outline the consequences of breaking the rules. Remind your teenager that driving is a privilege - a privilege they will lose if they don't drive by your rules.
Tip for PARADISE VALLEY, Nevada Alcohol use by people under the age of 21 is prohibited in Virginia. Virginia has a zero tolerance law regarding teens and alcohol use. Some of the penalties include losing your license, large fines and maybe jail time. The legal limit for teens is a .02 blood alcohol concentration (BAC), which is the normal alcohol content of the average person. So, even a small amount of alcohol can be too much.
Tip for PARADISE VALLEY, Nevada Most new cars have air bags for front-seat passengers. When used with lap/shoulder belts, air bags work very well to protect older children and adults. Air bags do not work with rear-facing child seats (those used with infants). Airbags could seriously injure or even kill an unbuckled child or adult who is sitting too close to the air bag or who is thrown toward the dash during emergency braking. In a crash, the air bag inflates very quickly. It could hit anything close to the dashboard with enough force to cause severe injuries or even death. Because the back of a rear-facing child seat sits very close to the dashboard, the seat could be struck with enough force to cause serious, or even fatal injuries to a baby. Even older children (who have outgrown child seats) are at risk from a deploying air bag, if they are not properly restrained.
