When registering, do I select my home county?
Select the county in which you received your ticket.

I know that all children under age 12 should ride in the back seat, especially if the car is equipped with airbags. What about the elderly; are they safe with airbags?
The elderly, like all other passengers and drivers, should be properly restrained with the seat as far back as possible and the individual's back firmly supported. All occupants should also keep arms and feet away from where the airbags will deploy.

What is the course cancellation/refund policy?
Our course provider says, New York Users Only - A full refund will be made to any student who cancels the enrollment contract within 30 days of registering for the course and prior to attempting the final examination. The COURSE PROVIDER will terminate, without notice, the enrollment of any student who has not successfully completed the course within 30 days. All registration fees paid are due and refundable when the course of instruction is discontinued by the COURSE PROVIDER, preventing a student from completing the course, or the enrollment of the student was procured as a result of any misrepresentation in advertising, promotional materials of the COURSE PROVIDER, or representation made by the owner or employee of the COURSE PROVIDER. All refunds will be issued within 30 days following receipt of a permissible request for cancellation.

How long is the Defensive Driving course?
Most people can finish in about 4-6 hours. Some people take longer, but that is a rough guide for most students.

I am a new driver. Do you offer first-time driver or teen driver education?
Yes! In many states there is a teen/first-tie driver training course available. Check our site to see.

What is ID Verification?
Some county courts require students to prove their identities. This is known as ID Verification. It is an easy-to-follow process with clear instructions. Not every county court asks for this requirement.

Tip for MAXBASS, North Dakota
Don't cut in front of a large truck just because you see open space there. The driver is leaving enough room to brake safely. If you reduce this braking distance, you may be forcing the driver behind you to make a difficult choice: either brake hard (possibly causing problems such as jackknifing), or risk rear-ending your vehicle.

Tip for MAXBASS, North Dakota
Winter driving tip from Caltrans: Snow and ice make stopping distances much longer, so keep your seat belt buckled and leave more distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead.

Tip for MAXBASS, North Dakota
Texas driving tip: Be aware of a truck's blind spots: up to 20 feet in front of the tractor, anywhere along the sides of the trailer and up to 200 feet behind the trailer.

Tip for MAXBASS, North Dakota
Be gentle with brake pressure during slippery road conditions. Avoid braking on curves by driving through them at a safe, steady speed. Gear down for both uphill and downhill.

Tip for MAXBASS, North Dakota
Winter driving tip from Caltrans: Chain Installers: If you use the services of a chain installer, be sure to get a receipt and jot the installer's badge number on it. Remember, chain installers are independent business people, not Caltrans employees. Having the badge number may help with any misunderstandings later. Chain installers are NOT allowed to sell or rent chains.

Tip for MAXBASS, North Dakota
Teen passengers can be a major distraction. They may unintentionally encourage teen drivers to speed, show off, play loud music or not pay enough attention to driving. They may challenge teen drivers to do risky things like speeding, tailgating or weaving in and out of traffic.

Tip for MAXBASS, North Dakota
Marijuana affects alertness, concentration, coordination and reaction time, all skills required for safe driving.

Tip for MAXBASS, North Dakota
Texas driving tip: When passing a truck, don't move back into your lane until you can see both truck headlights in your rearview mirror.
