Why is it so important not to have rear-facing child safety seats in the front seat?
The force of nearly 3,000 pounds of pressure from a crash would thrust the child forward, crushing it between the safety seat and the back of the car seat. Never place a rear-facing child safety seat in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with a passenger-front airbag.

What is the course cancellation/refund policy?
Our course provider says, New York Users Only - A full refund will be made to any student who cancels the enrollment contract within 30 days of registering for the course and prior to attempting the final examination. The COURSE PROVIDER will terminate, without notice, the enrollment of any student who has not successfully completed the course within 30 days. All registration fees paid are due and refundable when the course of instruction is discontinued by the COURSE PROVIDER, preventing a student from completing the course, or the enrollment of the student was procured as a result of any misrepresentation in advertising, promotional materials of the COURSE PROVIDER, or representation made by the owner or employee of the COURSE PROVIDER. All refunds will be issued within 30 days following receipt of a permissible request for cancellation.

How do airbags work?
Airbags will deploy in most frontal collisions, however front airbags will most likely not deploy in side-collisions. Side airbags will deploy in most side-collisions but side airbags are not as common as front airbags.

What software do I need to take the course?
You need a working web browser that is connected to the Internet to take a defensive driving course. We support Internet Explorer 4.0 and higher, Netscape Navigator 6.0, AOL 4.0 and higher and most other browsers. There is no software to download and nothing saved to your hard drive. Some courses use the Macromedia Flash plug-in. This product is free and can be downloaded and installed at registration.

How long is the final exam?
The final exam length depends upon the state or region where you received your speeding ticket. Many exams are 25 questions long, but some are longer.

What is the testing and grading policy?
Our course provider says, Each chapter contains a quiz or quizzes that review important content from that chapter. The number of quizzes and quiz questions varies depending on your course. The quizzes do not affect your final exam score but will provide you with an excellent opportunity to master the course material. You also must take and pass a final exam upon completion of the course.

Tip for LULU, Florida
Most new cars have air bags for front-seat passengers. When used with lap/shoulder belts, air bags work very well to protect older children and adults. Air bags do not work with rear-facing child seats (those used with infants). Airbags could seriously injure or even kill an unbuckled child or adult who is sitting too close to the air bag or who is thrown toward the dash during emergency braking. In a crash, the air bag inflates very quickly. It could hit anything close to the dashboard with enough force to cause severe injuries or even death. Because the back of a rear-facing child seat sits very close to the dashboard, the seat could be struck with enough force to cause serious, or even fatal injuries to a baby. Even older children (who have outgrown child seats) are at risk from a deploying air bag, if they are not properly restrained.

Tip for LULU, Florida
The Interstate System, however, actually has the best safety record of all roads and the lowest fatality rate of all road classes.

Tip for LULU, Florida
Never let friends drive your car. If your friends drive your car and crash, you could lose money, car privileges, a friendship, and even your life.

Tip for LULU, Florida
Never cross behind a truck that is preparing to back up or is backing up. Remember, most tractor-trailers are eight-and-a-half feet wide and can hide a passenger vehicle completely, preventing the truck driver from seeing your vehicle.

Tip for LULU, Florida
Winter driving tip from Caltrans: The speed limit when chains are required is 25 or 30 miles an hour.

Tip for LULU, Florida
Gate and Flashing Light. Stop when the lights begin to flash before the gate lowers across your side of the road. Remain stopped until the gates are raised and the lights stop flashing.

Tip for LULU, Florida
Driving at night increases the likelihood and severity of crashes. The risk of being in a fatal crash is highest for teens between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Tip for LULU, Florida
The primary function of the seat belt is to prevent ejection and spread crash forces over a wider part of the body to reduce injury and fatality.
