Defensive Driving Tips for LIVINGSTON, New York |
I paid the court my fee to attend traffic school. Why do you charge me again? Most courts charge an administrative fee you that must pay to be allowed to attend a traffic school. That fee is separate from and in addition to our tuition.
How do I know if I am allowed to take a Defensive Driving Course in Texas? We recommend that you contact the state DMV or court before signing up. That is the best way to verify that you can take a course. But do it early or you will miss your deadline.
What is the course completion policy? Our course provider says, You must complete all phases of the approved curriculum in order to receive a certificate of completion. Any time missed must be made up. The school is prohibited from issuing a certificate of completion if the student has not met all the requirements for course completion and a student shall not accept a certificate under such circumstances.
Can you give me an extension on my traffic school due date? No. Only the court that you were cited from can grant an extension. You need to contact that Court.
My due date is approaching fast. How far ahead do I need to complete the course? We recommend you complete our course at least 10 business days prior to your due date. That will give you enough to mail your completed certificate to your court. When you receive your certificate from us, you are responsible for mailing it to your court on time.
I know that all children under age 12 should ride in the back seat, especially if the car is equipped with airbags. What about the elderly; are they safe with airbags? The elderly, like all other passengers and drivers, should be properly restrained with the seat as far back as possible and the individual's back firmly supported. All occupants should also keep arms and feet away from where the airbags will deploy.

Tip for LIVINGSTON, New York Most new cars have air bags for front-seat passengers. When used with lap/shoulder belts, air bags work very well to protect older children and adults. Air bags do not work with rear-facing child seats (those used with infants). Airbags could seriously injure or even kill an unbuckled child or adult who is sitting too close to the air bag or who is thrown toward the dash during emergency braking. In a crash, the air bag inflates very quickly. It could hit anything close to the dashboard with enough force to cause severe injuries or even death. Because the back of a rear-facing child seat sits very close to the dashboard, the seat could be struck with enough force to cause serious, or even fatal injuries to a baby. Even older children (who have outgrown child seats) are at risk from a deploying air bag, if they are not properly restrained.
Tip for LIVINGSTON, New York The annual vehicle miles traveled in Texas during 2008 reached 245.264 billion, an increase of 1.46%
Tip for LIVINGSTON, New York Take a driver improvement class to maintain driving skills and learn the newest highway laws and vehicle changes.
Tip for LIVINGSTON, New York Remain 15 feet away from trucks on all sides. If you can't see truck drivers in their mirrors, they can't see you either.
Tip for LIVINGSTON, New York The rear seat is the safest place for children of any age to ride. An infant in a rear-facing child seat must ride in the back seat if your vehicle has a passenger air bag. Make sure that everyone in the front seat is properly buckled up and seated as far back from the air bags as is reasonably possible. Make sure that all young children are properly secured in an age and size appropriate restrains. Know how to properly install your child seat in the vehicle. Read both the owner?s manual for the vehicle and the instructions for your child safety seat.
Tip for LIVINGSTON, New York White stop lines are painted across pavement lanes at traffic signs or signals. Where these lines are present, you should stop behind the stop line.
