Tip for EL CERRITO, California Never cross behind a truck that is preparing to back up or is backing up. Remember, most tractor-trailers are eight-and-a-half feet wide and can hide a passenger vehicle completely, preventing the truck driver from seeing your vehicle.
Tip for EL CERRITO, California A recent analysis of age trends shows that over the past 10 years, fatalities in the 20 to 29 year old age group, the group with consistently the highest annual number of motorcycle fatalities, decreased, while fatalities in the 40 and over age groups increased. During this time, however, there were more driving age individuals in the 40 and over age group in the United States.
Tip for EL CERRITO, California If you're driving down a hill ahead of a large vehicle that is fast approaching, speed up a little, if it's safe to do so, to keep a safe distance between your vehicles. The truck or bus driver may be trying to slow down safely without losing the momentum needed to climb the next hill at a reasonable speed.
Tip for EL CERRITO, California Avoid unnecessary use of your high beam headlights.
Tip for EL CERRITO, California But the 94.6 percent seat belt usage rate in 2007 means that 5.4 percent of us still don't buckle up. That's a shame because seat belts save lives.
