How many chances do I get to pass the final?
You may attempt to pass the quizzes and final exam as many times as you wish. But keep an eye on the court?s deadline.

I am able to adjust the position of my steering wheel. Which position is most likely to minimize injury but provide the greatest protection from an airbag?
Tilt the steering wheel toward your breastbone. Do not tilt it toward your abdomen or toward your head and neck. Try to adjust your seat at least 10 inches away from the center of the steering wheel.

How long does it take for my certificate to be delivered?
Our course provider says that it processes certificates Monday-Friday at 3 PM Pacific Time (5 PM Central Time for Texas users). Users completing after 3 PM will be processed the following business day. We ask you to allow 3-5 business days for delivery. Premium delivery services are available for an additional fee.

My due date is approaching fast. How far ahead do I need to complete the course?
We recommend you complete our course at least 10 business days prior to your due date. That will give you enough to mail your completed certificate to your court. When you receive your certificate from us, you are responsible for mailing it to your court on time.

I need another copy of my certificate. How can I get one?
Our course provider says, If you have lost your certificate or it contains incorrect information, you may contact a customer support representative at 1-800-723-1955 to request a certificate reprint.

Why is it so important not to have rear-facing child safety seats in the front seat?
The force of nearly 3,000 pounds of pressure from a crash would thrust the child forward, crushing it between the safety seat and the back of the car seat. Never place a rear-facing child safety seat in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with a passenger-front airbag.

Tip for DANSVILLE, New York
Blood alcohol content (BAC) is the amount of alcohol in a person?s body as measured by the weight of the alcohol in a certain volume of blood. Alcohol is absorbed directly through the walls of the stomach and the small intestine. It goes into the bloodstream, and travels throughout the body and to the brain. Alcohol is quickly absorbed and can be measured within 30 to 70 minutes after a person has had a drink.

Tip for DANSVILLE, New York
Don't exceed the speed limit. The chance of death or serious injury doubles for every 10 miles per hour over 50 mph that a vehicle travels. At high speeds, errors such as turning too quickly or braking too sharply can result in an out-of-control vehicle. Speed increases braking distance: If you double your speed, quadruple your braking distance. At high speeds, the amount of time available to detect and react to unexpected events is shortened.

Tip for DANSVILLE, New York
Some teens and even a few adults have tried car surfing -- riding on the outside of a car or truck or holding onto a car while riding in a shopping cart, on top of a skateboard, on skates or on a bike. That?s just crazy! Whatever people ride while car surfing, you should know that this is extremely dangerous.

Tip for DANSVILLE, New York
Texas driving tip: Don't squeeze between trucks and the curb. Trucks make wide right turns, and the driver may not see you.

Tip for DANSVILLE, New York
Motorcyclist fatalities have increased each year since reaching an historic low of 2,116 fatalities in 1997. In 2001, 3,181 motorcyclists were killed, an increase of over 50 percent between 1997 and 2001. Without this substantial increase in motorcyclist fatalities between 1997 and 2001, overall highway fatalities would have experienced a marked reduction of about 2.5 percent over this same time period

Tip for DANSVILLE, New York
Always drive with your headlights on. See and be seen.

Tip for DANSVILLE, New York
Vehicle weight increases breaking distance: The greater the vehicle weight, the greater the braking distance.

Tip for DANSVILLE, New York
In a crash, the most important factor for reducing injury to a motorcyclist is personal protection. The proper riding gear: helmet, eye protection, leather jackets and trousers, durable gloves, and proper footwear?can provide this personal protection.
