Why is it so important not to have rear-facing child safety seats in the front seat? The force of nearly 3,000 pounds of pressure from a crash would thrust the child forward, crushing it between the safety seat and the back of the car seat. Never place a rear-facing child safety seat in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with a passenger-front airbag.
How long does the course take? The time it takes varies from person to person. A determined student who studies the material and takes notes can finish fairly quickly. But many students choose to spread the course out over a week or more. Rest assured you can follow whatever method works for your schedule. But give yourself plenty of time to pass the final exam prior to your court deadline!
Is your website secure? Yes. Our course provider's website is secure.

Tip for BREA, California Leave plenty of space when coming to a stop behind a large vehicle on an incline. Heavy vehicles can roll back as much as 15 feet (4.5 meters) when the driver's foot is taken off the brake to accelerate.
Tip for BREA, California Don't tailgate. Try to keep four seconds of following distance between your car and the vehicle in front of you.
Tip for BREA, California A helmet is the most important safety equipment a motorcyclist wears. Helmets are about 29 percent effective in preventing motorcycle deaths and about 67 percent effective in preventing brain injuries. An unhelmeted rider is 40 percent more likely to suffer a fatal head injury than is a helmeted rider.
Tip for BREA, California Never let friends drive your car. If your friends drive your car and crash, you could lose money, car privileges, a friendship, and even your life.
Tip for BREA, California Teen passengers can be a major distraction. They may unintentionally encourage teen drivers to speed, show off, play loud music or not pay enough attention to driving. They may challenge teen drivers to do risky things like speeding, tailgating or weaving in and out of traffic.
Tip for BREA, California Driving while buzzed or drunk will most assuredly have one of three results -- arrest, injury or death. In Virginia, 31,469 people were convicted of DUI, 7,000 were injured and 354 people died in alcohol-related crashes in 2008.
Tip for BREA, California For an adult, the shoulder harness should fit closely against the chest, never under the arm. The lap belt should fit low and snug across the hips, never across the abdomen.
Tip for BREA, California Sleep-related crashes are most common in young people. One North Carolina state study found that 55 percent of fall-asleep crashes involved people 25-years-old or younger.
