Tip for AMALIA, New Mexico Wear your seat belt every time on every ride and make sure everyone else in the vehicle is buckled up.
Tip for AMALIA, New Mexico A solid yellow line on your side of the road marks a ?no-passing zone.?
Tip for AMALIA, New Mexico School buses don't have seat belts in them because they have a built-in occupant protection system known as compartmentalization, which is a system of seat height, seat length and padding, among other requirements. Compartmentalization is like an egg carton protecting a child.
Tip for AMALIA, New Mexico Trucks and buses take more time and need greater distances than cars to speed up, maneuver, and stop. When driving near a large vehicle, signal your intentions early so the truck or bus driver has enough time to react safely.
Tip for AMALIA, New Mexico Texas motorcycle safety tip: Someone dies nearly every day riding a motorcycle in Texas. If you ride a motorcycle, you can help reduce the number of deaths and possibly save your own life by wearing a helmet.
Tip for AMALIA, New Mexico Most new cars have air bags for front-seat passengers. When used with lap/shoulder belts, air bags work very well to protect older children and adults. Air bags do not work with rear-facing child seats (those used with infants). Airbags could seriously injure or even kill an unbuckled child or adult who is sitting too close to the air bag or who is thrown toward the dash during emergency braking. In a crash, the air bag inflates very quickly. It could hit anything close to the dashboard with enough force to cause severe injuries or even death. Because the back of a rear-facing child seat sits very close to the dashboard, the seat could be struck with enough force to cause serious, or even fatal injuries to a baby. Even older children (who have outgrown child seats) are at risk from a deploying air bag, if they are not properly restrained.

Also during 2006, bicyclists suffered 10,283 injuries and 155 deaths from collisions in California. (2006 Annual Report of Fatal and Injury Motor Vehicle Traffic Collisions, CHP)
