How do airbags work? Airbags work by preventing your upper body from striking the steering wheel, dashboard and windshield in a head-on collision. Airbags will NOT deploy in most side-collisions, but side airbags are not as common as front airbags. A sensor is activated when the car strikes a solid object. This sensor sends an electric current, initiating a chemical release of non-toxic nitrogen gas that causes the airbag to inflate. The deployment is instantaneous and the airbag will deflate immediately, preventing the risk of suffocation.
What is the operation and conduct policy? Our course provider says, No credit or completion will be given if the course is completed by anyone other than you or if you are assisted by an outside party. When you enroll in the course you are stating under penalty of perjury that you, and not another person, studied the material in its entirety and completed that chapter quizzes and the final exam. By registering for the course, you understand that is may be a felony to make false statements or to falsify documents submitted by the court.
How long does the course take? The time it takes varies from person to person. A determined student who studies the material and takes notes can finish fairly quickly. But many students choose to spread the course out over a week or more. Rest assured you can follow whatever method works for your schedule. But give yourself plenty of time to pass the final exam prior to your court deadline!

Tip for TEAGUE, Texas Don't get stressed out. Pretend everyone else on the road is a close, personal friend.
Tip for TEAGUE, Texas A recent analysis of age trends shows that over the past 10 years, fatalities in the 20 to 29 year old age group, the group with consistently the highest annual number of motorcycle fatalities, decreased, while fatalities in the 40 and over age groups increased. During this time, however, there were more driving age individuals in the 40 and over age group in the United States.
Tip for TEAGUE, Texas Don't cut in front of a large truck just because you see open space there. The driver is leaving enough room to brake safely. If you reduce this braking distance, you may be forcing the driver behind you to make a difficult choice: either brake hard (possibly causing problems such as jackknifing), or risk rear-ending your vehicle.
Tip for TEAGUE, Texas Texas motorcycle safety tip: State law says motorcyclists must wear helmets, with two exceptions for riders 21 and older. No helmet is required if the rider: (1) Has successfully completed a motorcycle safety course, or (2) Has proof of health insurance with a minimum of $10,000 coverage for injuries resulting from a motorcycle crash.
Tip for TEAGUE, Texas Leave plenty of space when coming to a stop behind a large vehicle on an incline. Heavy vehicles can roll back as much as 15 feet (4.5 meters) when the driver's foot is taken off the brake to accelerate.
Tip for TEAGUE, Texas Winter driving tip from Caltrans: #Allow enough time. Trips to the mountains can take longer during winter that other times of the year, especially if you encounter storm conditions or icy roads. Get an early start and allow plenty of time to reach your destination.
Tip for TEAGUE, Texas Safety belts should always be worn, even when riding in vehicles equipped with air bags. Air bags are designed to work with safety belts, not by themselves. Air bags, by themselves, have a fatality-reducing effectiveness of only 12 percent. (Sources: Facts to Buckle Up America and Traffic Safety Facts 2006 Data, NHTSA)
Tip for TEAGUE, Texas Texas driving tip: Watch for signs on Texas multi-lane highways that read Left Lane For Passing Only. These signs let you know that the left lane on a divided highway is not a fast lane; it is a passing lane.
